Introducing

Susan won our 'BLOG of the WEEK' competition the other week.
I asked Susan a few question to help us get to know her a bit better.

1. What crafts do you do?
''I am currently living as an ex-pat in Abu Dhabi - and here I mainly do all sorts of paper crafting...but I am also involved in an Am Dram group so I do BIG CRAFT - set building & props manufacture. I have also recently started Quilting and have just finished my first beginners' quilt.''

2. How long have you been crafting and why did you start?
''I have been crafty all my life! I love making things...I started as a child, having learned to knit and sew quite young. It has always been a family tradition to make hand-made Christmas gifts - my children have continued this. Here in Abu Dhabi, I soon became part of a card-making group - there are many card-makers and scrappers here in the UAE. I now teach a class once or twice a month.''

3. How would you describe your style of craft?
''I would say my card making style is 'less is more'...I love trying different techniques, folds and so on. I love a challenge!''

4. Who / what is your inspiration?
''I am inspired by the many talented people I see around me and online - and I love stamps and colours...''

5. How long have you been blogging and why did you start?
'' I started my blog this January when I became member of the DT for Pretty Paper Studios in Dubai. Before that I just used Facebook to share my ideas...now we have the Women In Abu Dhabi card making group on facebook too''

Thank you Susan for sharing, your work is stunning.
