'BLOG of the WEEK' Winner

As you know we run a kind of competition - 'BLOG of the WEEK' in our group,
the Winner for this week is
'Stephanie Smith'

well done Stephanie, your blog is great.
I asked Stephanie a few questions to help us get to know her....

1.What crafts do you do?
Card making has been my favorite and most often worked at craft. I also love to make jewellery, scrapbook, cross-stitch and sew. I have been blessed to be able to do any craft-making that I decide to try and when I see something I would really like to make for a gift, I usually try to make it.

2. How long have you been crafting and why did you start?
My Mother has always crocheted and sewn. I have always been interested in what she made for herself, my Sister, and me. Although I did not do much sewing as a child, after I was married and was pregnant with my first child, the need to "Nest" and make my house a home began. That would mean I have been a crafter for over 25 years. I started scrapbooking 12 years ago, then stamping and card making shortly after.

3. How would you describe your style of craft?
My style has definitely changed over the years, but it is mostly vintage. I love to layer papers and use embellishments. I want to say my style is also simple, but I am not sure that description applies anymore.

4. Who / what is your inspiration?
My inspiration is all of the lovely Ladies and Men who have blogs or make videos or contribute to magazines to share their talent! I am so in AWE of how generous crafters are in sharing their talent and so willing to help others who take a little longer to understand different techniques.

5. How long have you been blogging and why did you start?
I started my blog 1 year ago in May. After I discovered Youtube to learn new techniques and saw blogs listed below some of the videos, I started visiting different blogs. Some were challenge blogs and to enter the challenge it seemed easier to have a blog to participate. From there I took the plunge to start my own blog. I find that I need a specific challenge to focus myself to create. When I do not have something specific to make I tend to procrastinate even when I really want to make something. It can be very frustrating, so blogging and challenges are very helpful to me!

Hope you enjoyed reading, thank you again Stephanie for letting us get to know you.
Here are a few of Stephanie's makes but please visit her blog and say hello...
